ELMO

That's me sleeping with my Elmo. Today mommy put me down for a nap, but I wouldn't go down until mommy gave me Elmo. Mommy had no idea I even liked Elmo, but I kept saying ELMO ELMO ELMO, so mommy put him in bed with me and I said, OHHH BABY, NIGHT NIGHT ELMO, and I was out five minutes later. Mommy wants to share pictures of me at the zoo in San Diego, but mommy's camera is in Daddy's car, and daddy's car is at the airport, so maybe tomorrow you can see me at the zoo with my favorite animal...the FISHIES! I also liked the EPHANENT (elephants). Mommy bought me a stuffed EPHANENT and I walk around the house holding onto it's long trunk.

THINGS I LIKE TO DO

I like to wear CHOES. When mommy won't put my CHOES on so I can GO GO GO SIDE (outside), I go into the closet and put her CHOES on. Mommy has pretty CHOES don't ya think? They look good with my Harley shirt and my drum headphones. I also like to wear daddy's CHOES, and his boots, and his slippers.

I also like to go to the dog park and see the DOGGIES and the PUPPIES. Here I am at the dog park chasing the dogs and saying MEOW! Daddy said no meow, ruff ruff, so I said RUFF RUFF.

Wanna know what the best part about the dog park is....the slimy balls. They're everywhere! I say DOGGIE and I chuck the ball at the DOGGIE and mommy says, don't throw the ball at the Doggie! And she shows me how to throw the ball away from the Doggie so the Doggie can chase it, only the doggie can't run as fast as I can. So I grab the ball and throw it again and chase it again. If the DOGGIE gets the BALL I say NO! MINE! Because that is my BALL, even though it's not really my ball. Another great thing about the dog park is there's lots of rakes and poo poo picker uppers which mommy won't let me touch, but I really really want to rake and pick up too!

Another thing I like to do is clean DADDY's BIKE. I can clean it for hours. I wipe one side, and then I run around and wipe the other side, and then I run back to the first side and wipe that again and I do this over and over and over until mommy and daddy get sick of watching me wipe down the bike. Sometimes Daddy lets me sit on the bike and honk the horn. Mommy says the neighbors must love that.

Another thing I love to do is blow BUH-BUH's with MOMMY. It's not easy blowing BUH-BUH's. In fact, I've only blown two BUH-BUH's by myself. Mommy blows them real good. When Mommy blows them I chase after them while GABYS sits at the door MEOWING and trying to catch the BUH-BUH's, too. Silly cat, doesn't he know the BUH-BUH's are outside.

My most favorite thing to do in the whole world, more than any of the other favorite things to do I've mentioned, is hang out with my mommy and daddy.

Here are two more pictures mommy wanted to post from our big New York adventure last month....

Mommy's Day!

Today was mommy's birthday! I wish all day's were mommy's birthday because mommy's birthday day is fun! First mommy and daddy took me to the dog park where I chased the puppies. Then we went to lunch and I had my favorite food - FISH STICKS & FRENCH FRIES! Then I got to clean daddy's motorcycle. Then I got to go to the car wash. Then I got to take a long nap. Then I got to go in the backyard and blow bubbles and drive my car. Mommy took so many pictures but she can't figure out how to flip them...so check back when the flipping problem has been corrected

Puppies!

Look what I found - A puppy! I love puppies! Last night mommy and daddy took me to a restaurant and a puppy was sitting outside. I said HI PUPPY. Then I got real close to the puppy and petted it. It was a very nice puppy. Then I got even closer and laid on top of the puppy. AHHH BABY, I said to the puppy. The puppy let me lay there so I just kept on laying there as people walked by and laughed at me and my new favorite puppy in all of the world. I wish I knew where that puppy lived so I could go lay on it now. Today mommy took me to Barnes and Nobles to buy a few books and guess what...there was a lady reading books there, so I sat on a bench next to a little girl and listened to her read Green Eggs and Ham. Then I found this really cool Mickey Mouse backpack on wheels that I pulled all around the store and up to the cash register so mommy could buy it for me. After that, mommy took me to the dog park where I screamed PUPPIES! because there were puppies all over the place. Big ones. Small ones. Old ones. Baby ones. Black ones. White ones. All kind of ones. The best part about the dog park is that dogs bring slimy wet tennis balls and I get to play with the slimy wet tennis balls. I'll throw the ball and chase after it and throw it again and yell PUPPIES even though I don't want any puppies to take the ball.

I'M BACK!

Life is back to normal, finally. I'm home. Back in LA. It's crazy, so much has happened since I last wrote that I don't know where to start, so maybe I'll just start with yesterday when mommy sneezed and I said BLESS YOU. Mommy was so surpised when I said that. But I say all kinds of things now. Here are a few new things I say quite regularly:

BUH-BYE (MOMMY, DADDY, GABYS, BALL, TUBBY TUBBY, COCO) whenever I go bye bye
I LOVE YOU
GABYS, WHERE ARE YOU?
SLIDE SLIDE SLIDE (whenever i see a park)
NO NO NO (whenver I do something I shouldn't be doing, like grabbing the remote control)
NIGHT NIGHT (Whenever I'm tired and I want to go to sleep)
GET DOWN GABYS! (When gatsby is on the counter, and when gatsby isn't on the counter)
EAT! (When I'm hungry)
GO! (When I'm ready to go - in the car when the car is not moving, when I want to go outside, when I'm in a restaurant and I'm tired of being at the restaurant)

I'm also eating with a fork and spoon now, so I'm eating a lot more food because I don't have to touch the food. You know I hate touching food, especially slimy mushy food. A few of the new things I eat are oatmeal and gnocci and yogurt and soup.

HOWDY!

Though it took four days, I FINALLY made it to Texas. Yee-Haw! But first I spent a day in Manhattan where Mommy and Noni (My texas grandma) pushed me around in a bright orange stroller up and down Broadway. The lights were so bright I said WOW! And then I got to do something even more fun...I got to go to BabiesRus! I played with the CHOO-CHOO, and I had so much playing with the CHOO-CHOO, that when we left I cried real loud, NOOO! And then I cried over and over, CHOO-CHOO! After BabiesRus Mommy and Noni took me to Carmines for a yummy Italian dinner. Even though it was yummy, I wouldn't touch it. Noooo way! That's why Noni ordered me a grilled cheese sandwhich from room service. Now that I ate! The next morning I went WEE! on the bus ride from Manhattan to Newark airport. Everytime we turned a corner or the driver pushed the gas I said WEEEEE...and then I fell asleep. It was a really long ride. We spent two FULL days at the airport where I met a lot of people. Did you know I can say PEOPLE? Well I can. I hugged one girl. I kissed another. I clapped. I sang. I spun in circles. I even tried to board the flight to Miami. I ran all over that airport with Mommy chasing behind me. Mommy and Noni didn't think we'd ever make it to Texas. A miracle, that's what Mommy said when we finally made it. In Dallas I got a big surprise - DADDY! I love my daddy. I also love refried beans. Did you know Dallas makes the best refried beans I've ever had? I couldn't get enough! YUMMY! The next day my cousin Layla came over. She's so cute and she smiles and makes funny noises and pulls on my shirt and tries to put things in my mouth. Mommy and Daddy had to leave the day after I got to Texas, but that's okay because I'm having fun with my Noni and my grandpa-poo and my cousin Layla and my aunt Holly. I'm going to Chuckecheese tmrw with my Layla. And guess what else! Grandpapoo plans on taking me outside to dig a hole. I can't wait. If you wanna see me dance, check out my cousin layla's blog - http://www.laylaallen.blogspot.com/

HI EVERYBODY! It's me, and I'm STILL in New York. Things are good here. I have two new words, which are grandma and grandpa. And guess what I found in the closet....Allyson's baby doll stroller! Now I go round and round the house pushing the baby doll stroller. LA-LA, my favorite TUBBIE, likes to ride in the stroller. I push LA-LA around the house really fast. Better not get in my way, or I'll run you over with my baby doll stroller.

Greetings from NY

Hi, it's me, Cosmo - in case you forgot. It's been a long time, so long, I don't even know where to start. I saw mommy on super bowl sunday last weekend. She was on call, but she couldn't wait to see me so she took the train to long island to visit me at grandma's house anyway. I love my mommy, but I also love my grandma and grandpa, and I REALLY love my BUH-BE! So I'm pretty happy wherever I am, as long as the people I love are around me, which they always are. BUH-BE (great grandma) is the new GA-BY'SSSS (AKA Gah-gah, which is Gatsby - the S is at the end). You should see how excited I get when I hear the bells on Buh-be's walker, and then when I see her, I laugh, I clap my hands, I run in front of her and around her and under her walker, while she's walking, all the while yelling BUH-BE! And then when she sits in her special BUH-BE spot on the couch, I say, HIIIIIIIIIIIII, the same way I say hi to Ga-byssss! And then I give her five. And I give her kisses - MMMWHAW! I never give kisses, except to strange girls at the park, the Teletubbies on TV, and my stuffed animals - no people - just the strange girls, only BUH-BE!

Mommy couldn't believe how many new things I do and say now, and I've only been away for six days. I say DIE DIE, which means down, and when mommy and grandma correct me and say down, I saw DOOWWWN. I'm getting there. I also say UP UP UP, when I want up, and sometimes I say UP when I want down, but most times I get it right - UP means UP and DIE, I mean DOWN means down. I also say EAT, and tap my tray, just like grandma. And when Mommy and grandma spell the word B. O. T. T. L. E, I spell it right back B-O-T-T-L-E. Wonder what that means? Grandma has been singing to me a lot, and mommy can tell, because I not only sing the E-I-E-I-O part of Old MacDonald, but I also sing, QUACK QUACK HERE QUACK QUACK THERE and I keep going with QUACK QUACK QUACK and I also sing MOO MOO MOO and then sometimes I combine the QUACK QUACK MOO MOO, and it's my favorite thing to sing, because I sing it all day and clap along. I also say TUBBIES. If mommy doesn't play the Teletubbies dvd when I say TUBBIES, I say it over and over and over, and when I'm really tired and cranky, I scream it when I'm crying, TUBBBBIIIIIIIEEEEES! I love my TUBBiES. One day I even said WATCHA DOING, and grandma and mommy just looked at me. I said it once before, but mommy wasn't so sure she heard that right. Now I think she's pretty sure I said that right.

Mommy had two days off this week so grandma drove me to her apartment to spend the night. Me and mommy had the best time because she took me to the park and that's where I met Sophie. Turns out, Sophie lives in mommy's NY apartment building! Sophie is not only cute, but she's also very stylish. She's 17months old. Normally I like my women a little older, but I made an exception for Sophie. The first day I met Sophie I wasn't so sure about her, because after I stole a kid's ball, and wouldn't give it back, Sophie kept trying to steal it from me! I said, NO, MINE, even though it wasn't mine, but she didn't care and kept chasing me around the park saying ball ball ball, and I kept saying NO MINE! Mommy thought I was being a bully, and tried to give the ball to Sophie, but Sophies mom told my mommy that Sophie needed to learn to stand up for herself. Lucky for me, SOPHIE never learned. After we left the park mommy bought me my own ball, a big yellow ball. Yesterday me, mommy, and my big yellow ball went back to the park and guess who was there....SOPHIE! The other kids circled me and said, Ball, but I said NO, and mommy didn't feel so bad because it really was MY BALL and if I didn't want to share I didn't have to share. Their mommy's should have brought their own balls. The best ball game to play is stand on the top of the slide and roll the ball down to mommy. She gives it back to me and I roll the ball again. It's a very fun game. After that game, I played get on the playground equipment, and then struggle really hard to throw the ball over the top so it bounces back on the ground, so I have to climb off the equipment and chase the ball so I can do it again. After that, I got pretty tired, so I decided to let Sophie play with my ball. Only she just followed me around the park holding my ball. Later on, Sophie and I walked home from the park together, a 15 minute walk, and we held hands the whole way home. We really did. Mommy was mad she didn't have a camera.

Right now I'm back at grandma's house. Da-da is on an airplane flying to NY today to see me! I've missed dada. The other night I cried, DA-DA, DA-DA, DA-DA, when the phone rang and mommy said that's Daddy! Daddy heard me crying and said it was heartbreaking. That was the first time I cried for Da-da because normally I'm big happy boy. The next day I cried for BUH-BE when mommy said, do you want to go see BUH-BE? BUH-BE, BUH-BE, BUH-BE I cried, but then mommy turned on the TUBBIES and I was fine. I have yet to cry for mommy, but when I see mommy's picture at grandma's house I point to it and say MOMMY! And then I give it a kiss - MMMWHAW!

MISS ME?

Miss me? So does my mommy! Not to worry Mommy, I'm having a blast at grandma's house. When I say PIZZA, I get pizza, and when I see a bag of Pirate's Booty and say PUFF PUFF, I get puffs, and when I want to play BALL, I get to play BALL. Grandma keeps telling mommy that I'm a little angel, that I'm such a good boy and mommy has no idea what a good boy I really am because mommy is not around that many other kids. My grandma would know, she used to teach kindergarten. Not only am I good, but I'm smart, too, because when I found a box of crayons I said YELLOW YELLOW YELLOW until someone gave me a crayon, the yellow crayon. Did you know yellow is my favorite color, and that I love to color? Another thing I say is BUH-BE! which means grandma, or maybe it means great grandma, I'm not sure, but I say it whenever I hear my great grandma coming down the hall. My BUH-BE! has a walker covered in bells, so I hear her ding-a-linging around the house, and when I hear the ding-a-lings I yell BUH-BE! Because she's my BUH-BE!
