GET ME OUT OF HERE!

Today was my first day at music class. Boy was it NOT fun. It could have been fun, IF the teacher would have let me play the drum! I mean what kind of music teacher gives a kid a clear backpack full of all these interesting instruments, AND A DRUM, and not let a kid play? We had to listen to a story, and dance, and walk in circles, and take turns on some instrument called a temple, and all I wanted to do was play the drum, and I let everyone know that too! I think the other mommy's felt sorry for my mommy, because I wouldn't stop crying until i got the drum. And do you know the drum was the very last thing to play!! So mommy let me play it all the way home, and then in the house, and then on the way to the gym, and then in the house again, and she's hoping I can get over the drum and be a good boy in class next week.

After that awful music class I ran into my neighbor Avery, who just turned one. She's starting to walk, which makes her a lot more fun to play with. We went to the park and I slid down the slide and while I was sliding I met this kid who was also sliding, but he went down feet first on his belly, and the next thing you know I'm going down feet first on my belly. It was so much fun. After sliding Avery came to my house and we watched TELETUBBIES! She'd never seen the TUBBIES before and when she tried to walk away, I hugged her and tried to bring her back in front of the TV. Look, here's a picture of me and my girl, Avery.

So I bet you're wondering how my sleep went last night... Mommy couldn't believe it, she put me to bed and then she went into the office and waited. Five seconds later I was standing in the door. So she put me back in bed. I got out of bed, grabbed my broom, and started sweeping the hallway. It needed a good sweeping, but Mommy didn't think so and put me back in bed. And that's where I stayed. Until 2am. Tonight Mommy put me in bed and then went in her room to fold clothes. Five seconds later Mommy saw the light go on in my room. But that's all she saw, because I didn't come out of my room for a little while, but then I did and mommy took me by the hand and walked me back...and I stayed. And that's where I am now.

Wanna hear something funny? I bit mommy's finger today and mommy got upset and to show me how much it hurt she cried, only it was funny crying, and she had her hands over her face, so that's what I did...all. Day. Long. I covered my face, and fake cried, and smiled while I did this because it was really funny saying OUT OUT OUT in a funny sounding voice with my hands over my face.

Those are just some of the things I said, and I screamed each one over and over and over as I ran from my bed into MOMMY's room, because I didn't want to go to bed. I never want to go bed. Ever. It's become a really bad problem - for MOMMY. Tonight things changed, because instead of rocking me to sleep MOMMY just scooped me up and walked me back into my room without saying a word and put me in my crib. Silly MOMMY. As soon as I hit the mattress I rolled over and did it all over again. Along the way I'd turn on (or off) my music player that hangs on the side of my bed, and I'd turn on the big light, and then I'd run as fast as I can down the hall, screaming one of the words listed above. Finally, at 10:04pm, I sat up in bed, rubbed my eyes a really long time, and then fell over on my belly - fast asleep. MOMMy didn't think that would ever happen. MOMMY hopes I sleep through the night because it's been a super duper long time since I've done that, because when I was sick I'd wake up and go to MOMMY's room and get in bed with her, but now that I'm not sick I still try to get in MOMMY'S bed in the middle of the night - every night. It's going to be a long night - for MOMMY, because MOMMY plans on taking me back to my bed until I figure out which bed is my bed and which bed is her bed. Doesn't she know they're both my beds? MOMMY is going to be one tired MOMMY tomorrow. Poor MOMMY.

CAPTAIN COSMO BEACH

That's me in the bath. I just pulled the plug, and then I plugged the plug back up, and then I pulled it again, and I did this until the water went BYE-BYE! See that smile, it's my new smile. I do this smile whenever I see the camera, and only when I see a camera. It's my stop taking my picture smile. It's my when are you going to get the hint that I hate that camera smile. Hold up a camera and I'll do this smile, I tell you!

DADDY went to London on Saturday night, and so it's just been me and MOMMY today. And it's going to be me and MOMMY all week! Yesterday MOMMY took me to the beach, but I wasn't really into it. All I could do is stare at the guys playing volleyball beside me and say BALL, because I really wanted their BALL. I did go swing on the SLIDE because I call the swings the SLIDE. I also call the SLIDE the SLIDE. Today MOMMY and I started to go out, but then I had a meltdown because I didn't want to take off my pajama top. I cried and cried and cried and said SHIRT SHIRT SHIRT and when MOMMY threw the SHIRT in the hamper I tried to got it out and ran after MOMMY trying to make her take the SHIRT, and then I tried to take the polo shirt MOMMY had put on me off, so I could put my pajama top back on. MOMMY ignore my crying and I started using all my tricks. I said HUGS HUGS HUGS and when that got MOMMY's attention I went back to the SHIRT. THen it was POOPIES and PEEPEES and then when MOMMY put me on the potty I went back to the SHIRT. Then Mommy said are you all done, and I cried so hard ALL DONE ALL DONE and MOMMY picked me up and then I went back to the SHIRT. Finally I just conked out and fell asleep. After my nap I felt good so MOMMY took me with her to get a pedicure where all the ladies tried to hold me. I wasn't having any of that! But I was soooooo good sitting quietly in MOMMY's lap that MOMMY took me to the park where I kicked off my shoes and played on the SLIDE and the SLIDE, which is really the swing. Kelly came by the park to see me and I got so excited I started showing off by running around and sliding and sliding on the swings and hopping and squealing. Man, it was a great day.

First off, I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAYLA! I really wish I could be in Dallas to sing my special LAYLA song. I've been practicing it a lot. It's my favorite song. Another song I like singing is ASHES ASHES WE ALL FALL DOWN, which is what I'm singing now, as I play the drums. I'm really cranky today and that's why I'm whining. I want MOMMY to stand over me while I sing and play drums. When she doesn't I whine, just like I whined and cried when MOMMY took off my bib this morning, which I normally hate wearing, but ended up taking a nap with. I'm very sensitive today. I must still be sick. Maybe that's why I didn't eat lunch.




Yesterday I had a good day. Mommy took me to the beach and I played in the sand and in the cold water and on the lifeguard stand and then I swang on the swings.

Look, my new desk. My MOMMY is amazing. Not only did she buy that desk for me, but she put it together all by herself last night, and she let me help! It's my COYERING desk. Guess what...I have a new word and a new trick. The new word is UCK. It means book. And it also means MILK. Just look where I'm pointing and you will be able to tell what I'm talking about. The trick is called the POOPIES trick, because when I say POOPIES, MOMMY comes running, even if I don't have to go POOPIES. So when I want MOMMY, I say POOPIES. Try it if you like. Watch Mommy run. Speaking of running, MOMMY is going to take me to the beach so she can run. Then MOMMY and DADDY are taking me out for PIZZA! It's friday night and on fridays we eat PIZZA! I love fridays! Right now this very minute I am handing MOMMY anything I can get my hands on and saying DADU, which means thank you. And when I dont' want something, I say NO DADU! just like I did at lunch today when MOMMY tried to make me eat soup! ECK. That's another thing I say when I don't want to eat. I say that one a lot!

SMILING FOR THE CAMERA

I'm still sick, but I must be getting better because today I cleaned the house. I love to take a wet rag and wipe down the walls. All of them. Especially MOMMY's closet mirror. Another thing I like to do is make funny faces. Whenever mommy holds up the camera I either smile a big toothy squinty eyed smile, or I make Mick Jagger puff fish lips like this....







So you're probably wondering what's new with me. Well one new thing is I don't like MOMMY on the computer, so when I see her typing away, I grab her hands and say, NO MOMMY NO! and I pull her away from the desk. I'd rather MOMMY read me a UCK (book). My favorite UCK is zoo animals because it has big pictures of an ELLA-BENT and a LION and a SSSSSNAKE. I like to say SSSSSNAKE. At night when I go to sleep I have to say NIGHT NIGHT to all the things I know. I say NIGHT NIGHT ELLA-BENT, NIGHT NIGHT ELMO, NIGHT NIGHT BOBBLE, NIGHT NIGHT GABYS, NIGHT NIGHT MOMMY, NIGHT NIGHT HORSEY...and this goes on and on and on and it takes me so long to say NIGHT NIGHT to all the things I know that when I'm done I'm so tired from trying to remember all the words I fall asleep. The other morning I woke up and found GABYS on my chest asleep, and boy did that surprise me! I didn't know what to do at first. Eventually I told GABYS, BUH-BYE GABYS, and then I said GET DOWN GABYS! And he did. Today when I wake up from my nap MOMMY is going to take me to the beach. I love to put my bare toes in the cold sand.

NOSE NO FEEL GOOD

yeah, i've got my own set, but why play mine when i can play DADDY'S? and when i get tired of sitting on DADDY's big stool, I just prop my feet on one of the drums. i can play for as long as mommy let's me. that's how much i love the drums. today I'm not feeling well. I have a stuffy nose and when i breathe in it bothers me so much I cry and while I'm crying i say NOSE NOSE NOSE. mommy feels so bad for me and my nose. today i ate three slices of AHNGE and two NANAS for lunch and when i was done i said ALL DONE! and then i tried to take apart my tray table. don't tell DADDY but i COWERD on the wall. I got in trouble for that. NONI called MOMMY today and when the phone rang I said LAYLA LAYLA because I wanted to talk to LAYLA because I love LAYLA, and I love looking at her blog and I want to talk to LAYLA, but instead I talked to NONI. Mommy was going to take me to the park to SLIDE, but I'm really cranky so I'll probably just stay home and watch my EIEIO videa (Baby Einstein - Neighborhood animals)

Now I'm going to go for a walk with mommy and hopefully we'll see some DOGGIES and maybe make a quick stop at the park where I like to SLIDE

BIG NEWS!

I don't know what the heck this thing is, because i'm doing exactly what mommy does every morning and not much is happening. So anyway, time for some BIG news, and when I say BIG, I mean super huge... This afternoon I was in my bed, saying all the funny things I know how to say, in order to get out of taking a nap, when I said PEE-EW and POOPIES! Mommy just looked at me, because she knows I'm a kidder, but she took sat me on the potty anyway. Of course I wanted to read my potty book, and as I read my potty book, the potty started singing, and mommy wondered if it was broken, but guess what...it wasn't broken - I pooped in the potty! ME!! Mommy couldn't believe it! After that, mommy and I did the poopie in the potty dance, which is a lot like the flash dance dance, because you move your feet really fast, like your running in place, but you also wiggle your hands in the air, spin in the circle, and sing POOPIES IN THE POTTY, over and over. It's a really fun dance. You should try it next time.
