Coffee milk with daddy

While mommy is in New York working, I'm hanging out with daddy at Starbucks where I order the usual - coffee milk. Noni created this drink for me when I was in Texas and now I want it all the time, especially when I see a Starbucks, which is all the time. Before daddy took me to school I saw a landscaper and as soon as I saw him I knew exactly what I wanted for my birthday - a leaf blower!

"Daddy, I want that!" I said, which made daddy call mommy to find out if I could get it.

"Maybe we can rig something up," said daddy.

"I don't think so," said mommy, who then went on to tell daddy how I'm obsessed with the man with the backpack vacuum at the gym, how I don't want to leave when he walks in the door, how I follow him around and say, "what's that?" over and over and over, pointing at his cool backpack vacuum.

My daddy went to London and...

All he brought me back were these super duper cool clothes! I love my daddy so much. He's the best. And I told him so, too.

As soon as I saw my new things, I took off my old clothes and put on my new ones. Check out my soccer shoes. Of course I went and played soccer in them already!

West Ham United Rules. I'm even learning the blowing bubbles song.

I want cheese!

Palm Springs

For mommy's birthday daddy and I decided to take mommy to Palm Springs for the weekend. But first, we had to stop for lunch at Shakey's Pizza. "mmm...this is soooo good," I told mommy and daddy - several times. Mommy and daddy did not agree.

This is the airplane I won at the arcade inside Skakey's. Okay so daddy really won it! Who knew daddy was such a phenomenal egg catcher.

This is what I'd been dreaming about for days - the pool! Even though it was 85 degrees in that pool and mommy went swimming, I chose to sit in the chair beside daddy and watch the ladies in the hot tub while daddy worked.

Look water! I could have stood there all night. In fact, I actually tried to stand there all night. I even put up a good fight.

But I don't want to go!

A moving self portrait

And then I found something even better than water - a horse! Her name was Rosie and mommy and daddy and I took a carriage ride with her. She was a very nice horse, not like her friend who took a bucket full of water and threw it at the cars!

This is the hotel where we stayed - the calla lily - an adult's "preferred" hotel. Mommy has no idea why they let us in, and neither did the other guests who looked at us funny as soon as they saw me, and I was good! Apparently this is where Demi Moore and Charlie Sheen like to say, which daddy found very hard to believe.

I couldn't wait to get my toes in the water, which is all I got in the water, because I spent all my time making a circle around the pool and then dipping my toes in the water, just to do it all over again, and again, and again... Even though I was quiet, only using my indoor voice, and even though I walked, though I walked very briskly, I don't think the adult's preferred guests enjoyed my spin around the pool.

"HI MAN!" That's what I said to the man who happened to walk outside his room. He didn't answer back, so I tried him again - "HI MAN!" When he didn't answer I asked mommy, "WHAT'S THAT MAN DOING?" That's my new favorite thing to ask, ya know, "what's that Man/Lady/little girl/little boy/baby/dog/cat/horse doing?" I also ask the question Why as many times as possible throughout the day.

That's our room in the corner. Daddy spent a good half hour trying to get those blinds to shut. I spent a good half hour walking around the pool, dipping my toes in the water, and then grabbing the room key and telling mommy "I'll be right back!" and off to the room I went where I used the key, opened the door, said hello to daddy and then told him "I'll be right back." Then I'd shut the door, make a spin around the pool, dip the toes, tell mommy "I'll be right back!"

This is Jack and Stephanie (daddy's friends), my two favorite jewelers in Palm Dessert. Stephanie helped daddy pick out a little somethin-somethin for mommy's birthday, and mommy's so glad she did. :)

Here I am at the Living Zoo and Gardens. My favorite thing about the zoo - the petting zoo! When I grow up I want to be a goat brusher. It didn't take me long to avoid the goats with horns.
