MY TRIP TO TEXAS

Last month I went to Texas. Here I am on the airplane. I've been on so many airplanes mommy lost count. I love to fly, and I'm a really good boy when I fly, which makes mommy proud. Here I am doing my favorite thing to do on an airplane - watch cartoons on the ipod, eat raisins, drink water and apple juice.

Before take off I always make sure to go over the briefing card. I'm mesmerized by it. This gives mommy a good ten minutes of quiet time. Then, after we take off, I look out the window and say, "WOW!" over and over as we fly through the clouds...

Here's my sweet cousin Layla. We're on our way to the Science museum for kids in Dallas. Layla had a BOOBOO on her eye. I was very concerned, so I kissed her every chance I got. Next up is mommy and Layla. Mommy got sandwiched in the back seat of Aunt Holly's car between two car seats. She has no idea how she got in and out...

Here I am at the museum in the water area. What I found out is if I squeeze that duck real hard water comes out, and if I chuck it real hard back into the water, water sprays all over me. What fun!

Here is Layla riding a horsey. Doesn't she look cute?

Well guess what I found at Noni and papa's house....that's right - a broom! I swept their house clean...the entire time! While I was in Texas it rained! A real nice rain. I'm from California so I didn't even know what rain was, but I got to know it well. Mommy let me run through the puddles and play in the rain for a very long time. It was one of the best days I ever had.....

I got to go to grandpa George's house, too. There are cows down the road from his house, and that's where I went every single day. I stood and watched the cows that were far far away and yelled, HI COWS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING COWS! COME HERE COWS! MOOOO! Whenever I went to see the cows I was so excited I'd yell COWS COWS COWS the whole way down, and I'd walk the entire way, but on the way back I refused to walk, and so papa had to carry me.

Like I said, I spent a lot of time visiting the cows...back and forth I went...

There's me and papa when THE MAN came to visit. THE MAN was papa's friend, but I call every man I don't know THE MAN, just like I call every lady I don't know THE LADY and if I don't know you and I walk by you I'll say, THAT'S A LADY, THAT'S A MAN. And if you're lucky enough to sit by me on a flight I'll say HI MAN. And if you fall asleep on a flight, like the man beside us did, I will say very loudly THE MAN IS SLEEPING MOMMY.

Papa George let me ride his tractor. At first I was scared, but if mommy walked along side us I had a great time!

Here I am in the car wearing Mommy's glasses. I spent a lot of time, TOO MUCH TIME, in the car wearing Mommy's glasses, but since we were on our way to see Mimi all that time in the car was fine. I saw a lot of COWS AND HORSEYS on the way.

MY Noni and papa George

Here I am with Mimi. I had so much fun at her home. Whenever her friends would walk in to see her I'd say THAT'S MY MIMI! I held her hand and I leaned against the rail and I said HI MIMI so many times. I think Mimi was glad to see me.

Carmel Weekend

I went to Carmel last weekend and stayed at this really nice hotel in the Valley. The best part about the hotel was the BROOM AND SHOVEL I found by the fireplace, which was great for sweeping the large balcony. I swept for three days straight! Look at daddy enjoying a morning cup of coffee on the balcony with me...

Yes, it's Captain Cosmo, sitting on the steps in Carmel. And here I am with mommy, even though I really didn't want to sit with mommy.

Want to know why I'm so smiley? Because I got to go to the Monterrey Aquarium and see all the fishies. My favorite animal was the OTTER. Did you know that that's my favorite animal, besides DOGGIES, CATS, and ELEPHANTS.

This is my GQ pose. Not bad is it? Here I am with mommy right before we went to dinner in downtown Carmel at a really yummy Italian restaurant where I was so well behaved that everyone in the place came by to compliment me. I'm such a good boy. Sometimes.

Take a look at my BIG balcony / patio. This is where I spent most of my time in Carmel. It was great, especially when it came to running real fast back and forth...

This is where I watched my cartoons at night, with Daddy, under a blanket. It was fun. When mommy tried to sit in MY CHAIR I'd get mad and tell her to STOP IT MOMMY as I pulled her out of the chair. It's MY CHAIR!

Just goofing around with my daddy.

Would you believe that daddy rented a big red truck? I love big trucks! I especially love running around in the back of the big truck.

Drummer Boy

I DRUM, every single day. In fact, I'm such a good drummer that mommy is going to buy me a new drum today. A bongo. Why in the world would mommy buy me a bongo, you may be asking yourself right about now. Because she met a jazz musician in the elevator at her layover hotel in Dallas who told her that kids who drum are good at math, and guess what, I'm really good at counting! I can count to 20, and I'm learning to go to 30! Did you know I'm only TWO! Two and three months...so imagine what I'll be able to do after I get that bongo drum.

Funny Boy!

Mommy calls me Funny Boy. Actually, what she says is "you're a funny -" and then I say BOY! Friday night was pizza night, so I spent the last two days before pizza night saying PIZZA NIGHT PIZZA NIGHT! because Pizza night is very exciting. Then when I'm at the pizza place I tell anyone and everyone who will listen that it's PIZZA NIGHT! And when I look around and see all the pizza lying on the tables around me, I point and say PIZZA! And clap my hands and dance around. When the pizza FINALLY comes to the table, I yell out PIZZAAAA! I love pizza! It tastes soooo good. That's why I always eat two whole pieces - very big pieces. Everyone at the pizza place knows me by name, which is why I get star treatment. Another reason pizza to love pizza night

On pizza night mommy tries to dress me in something nice. That's why I wore a blue and red button down short sleeve shirt. Mommy thinks if I act a little crazy people might be nicer about it if I look cute. Well as soon as I saw that button down short sleeved shirt I said, DADDY'S SHIRT, which made mommy laugh and say, you're such a funny, and I interrupted with BOY! I'm also a MONKEY BOY. I like bananas and climbing on everything.

On Saturday, besides watching my favorite cartoon Callilou over and over, I got to shovel a big pile of dirt into a couple large flower pots. Daddy even bought me my own shovel for the dirty job. It was so much fun filling the pots with dirt. In fact, I went a little crazy with the dirt filling. And then I got to use the broom so sweep the extra dirt back into the garden. You know how I love to sweep. Together daddy and I filled six big pots together. And we still have two more pots to go, which we're going to do today.

After shoveling yesterday, I saw Avery. Avery is my neighbor and my best friend in the whole world. When I hear her I yell A - EE! as loud as I can and when she hears me she yells CA-MO! as loud as she can. Needless to say, there's a lot of yelling going on back and forth between our houses. Our houses are really close and the windows are always open and so I know when she's home. A-EE'S got a Dog named LUCY and daddy named DA-DA and a mommy named MA-MA, and that's what I call them, too. DA-DA, MA-MA, LUCY, and A-EE is nice. That's what I told Mommy this morning. I also told Mommy that cows is nice and gatsby is nice and..well..everything I can name is nice! A-EE is smart. I said that, too. Anyway, A-EE! has a very nice play house in her backyard that I get to play in. She also has really great toys. I like her toys and she likes my toys. We should switch houses.

Yesterday A-EE and I went to our block party where I saw a FIRE TRUCK! Oh I was so excited. I jumped up and down yelling FIRE TRUCK. I got to sit inside and drive it and honk the really loud horn. I even got a sticker from the fireman. Mommy sprayed water from the fire hose at all the neighborhood kids for me, because I was too scared to do it by myself. It was a blast. Then Avery and I walked home holding hands. And then we kissed. Actually, she kissed me. I've got it like that.

Last night I wanted milk. Mommy said no milk. Only water before bed. So I became a funny boy and sang my favorite song, Hit the Road, by Dean Martin, but as I sang my song I interjected the word MILK at the end of each line. For instance, I'd sing...

Bye bye babie (MILK)
Time to hit the road to dream land (MILK)

Mommy thought I was so funny she almost got me the milk. When I was tucked in bed, and supposed to be sleeping, I decided to start singing again..

HAPPY DOODY HE HAR,
HAPPY DOODY HE HAR,
HAPPY DOODY HE HARRRRRRR,
HAPPY DOODY HE HAR
AND MANY MORE
and then I'd blow real hard and say I BLOWED OUT THE CANDLE.

Mommy tried not to laugh. So I did it over and over until Mommy stopped trying not to laugh and told me to go to bed. Instead of going to bed, I decided to sing another song, but this time I added Mommy and Daddy's name in the song. Mommy ignored me, even though she thought it was really funny.

Look, here's me and Scrapper just hanging out. That's what I like to do with Scrapper - hang out. And pet her. And lay on her. And pretty much freak her out. But SCRAPPER'S NICE, so she lets me do whatever I want to do
Tonight I'm going to the park to watch a band. You know I love parks and bands and dancing, so tonight is going to be a blast. I'm very excited. Mommy will post pictures tomorrw, so keep checking back....

Frankie's nice

MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY, I say, until Mommy says what, and then I say, FRANKIE'S NICE MOMMY. I say this all day long. Every single day. Who is Frankie? Frankie is the guy the washes daddy's car on the weekends. He's really nice. I've become quite obsessed with Frankie, and I only see Frankie about five minutes every week.

What else do I say? More like what do I not say. Or sing. There's so much new stuff I can't even begin to share. Sorry. Too much stuff. Mommy has been a blog slacker and can't keep up with the blog. Or her life. But she did promise to do better.

This week I've been sick. Really sick with a stuffy nose and a bit of a fever. I like telling people I'm sick. I say I SICK. The reason I'm so sick is because I've got a new tooth growing in the back. It makes me drool so much that mommy has to keep changing my shirts, and I don't want to change my shirt! I put up a pretty good fight, too, until mommy points out how dirty I am. I don't like to be DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY, so up go the arms, and off comes the shirt. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY, that's what I say when I'm sweeping the house - rather aggressively. Mommy calls me broom man because I love my broom. I'm always looking for a broom. No matter where I am I can find a broom.

Even though I SICK, I still feel good enough to go dancing. I'm a dancing fool. Mommy's been trying for weeks now to get the dancing video downloaded but she's been having problems with the downloading process. That's okay, as long as I can still dance. Mommy wants to buy me tap shoes but daddy almost had a nervous break down. When I play Dean Martin's Hit the Road, my favorite song, Mommy taps and I clap and we have a great time. I love YUSIC and DANCING.
On the weekends there are concerts at the beach. I love THE BEACH and THE OCEAN and THE SAND and THE YUSIC and I'm always right up in front when the band is playing. Just me and all the homeless folks and whatever kids care to join me. You should see my moves. Mommy has no idea where I've learned them.
