My First School Picture

Da-da...see my first school picture. And look, my school made me a book bag with my photos on it (below)! I have the best school in the whole world. Today I'm playing hooky. It's raining outside so ma-me! and I are enjoying the cloudy day together. We don't get many of these out here. This morning I learned a new trick - how to pass Ga-ga without getting swiped. I don't know why he swipes at me....I only pulled his tail a couple times and when i scream at the top of my lungs it's only because I'm excited to see him, and when I bang the table really hard where he's sleeping, it's only because I want to play with him. Anyway, I now crawl on my hands and knees whenever I have to pass him. I'll do anything to make him like me. Even steal his kitty treats when Ma-me! isn't looking and then dump them all over the floor around his feet. Ga-ga really liked me that day. Guess what - I now know how to tell you I'm done eating. So when I shake my head side to side and say no, that means I'm done eating and I want to play, so remember that when you come home. '

THURSDAY

Dear Da-da,

Today I had a good day. Ma-me made french toast for breakfast so I got to dip dip dip, and after french toast there was coloring. While I was coloring I said the word purple. I like the word purple. I said purple a lot. After coloring there were cartoons, and after cartoons there was school. I got my school pictures today. Ma-me will post them online tomorrow. After school I came home and Ma-me made spaghetti for the second night in a row. I made a mess with the spaghetti. It was all over me - my hands, my face, my hair, and even all over my belly. And I actually ate a green bean - one green bean. After dinner there was more coloring. I actually brought ma-me the box of colors. Then there was a bath, and after that there was teeth brushing, and then there was a little TV and then I went to bed. Oh, and guess what, last night I actually fell asleep in the bath - sitting up - with the water running over my shoulder. At first Ma-me thought I was enjoying the warm water. She laughed at me. And then when she saw that I was sleeping, not closing my eyes to avoid the splashes, she could not believe what she was actually seeing. I was so very tired. She had to wake me up and take me out of the tub. Big news, I have three new teeth. That's why I haven't been sleeping at night. Only in the bath. I've also been singing a lot. I sing twinkle twinkle little star and my ABC's. I'm really good.

These are my friends at school. At first I didn't want to go play with them. But then I saw a ball and wiggled my way down to the floor so I could run and get it. See me, I'm the only one not looking at the camera. I'm the one way in the back. See that girl, she tried to steal my ball away, but I wouldn't let her.

TUESDAY

Dear Da-da,

If you're wondering why Ma-me! didn't answer the phone today, it's because I chucked it across the room and it broke. Remember when I kerplunked her old phone in a glass of water the last time you were in London? Hmm...maybe you shouldn't go to London anymore. Don't worry, the phone is working now so you can call us tomorrow and we'll answer. The good news is I wasn't a terror ALL day. This morning Ma-me! put me in bed with her for early morning snuggles and I wrapped my arms around her neck, gave her gentle pats on the arm, and said, "ahhhh, baby" just like the way she does to me when I get hugs. It made her the happiest mommy in the world. And then I decided to give lip kisses today. Lots and lots of lip kisses. I even made the smacky noise, just like you do. I also learned how to take a big step. I can lift my right knee real high and then step. Not my left knee. Just my right. I do this all around the house. All Ma-me! has to say is Big Step and I'll do it - anytime, anywhere. Okay, time to take a Baf. And then brush my teef - for like the 100th time today. I love you. I'm doing the big knee walk right as this is being typed. I'll probably big knee walk all the way down the hall to the bathroom. That's how good I am.

The Nighty Night Routine

MANIC MONDAY

Dear Da-da,
You will not believe what I did today. First, I opened the dish washer and started taking everything out. After ma-me! locked it, I pushed a few buttons and guess what! I started a load of dishes all by my very own self. You should have seen ma-me's face. Then I did this...

Open shut, open shut, that's what I did over and over and over. If you thought ma-me's face was funny when I started the dishwasher, you should have seen her face when I opened the door! Don't worry, Ma-me locked it so Ga-ga wouldn't get out. But he did try to escape. See...

After that, I colored you a picture. Ma-me! says I'm going to be an artist when I grow up.

After coloring, I had to wash all the marker off my hands and face, so ma-me put me in the baf and that's where I filled my cup with water and then poured it all over my head. It scared me at first. But then I did it again and it was fun. So I kept doing it. I'm tired, so I'm going to bed early. More than anything I miss sharing the nighty night bottle with you.

Bye!

SUNDAY

Da-da,

Not much has happened since you left for London. Just the same old same old around here. Except for three things.... First I had to sit on this big guy's lap at the mall who was dressed in this really funny outfit. He kept saying HoHoHo while these two pretty girls jumped up and down making funny noises at me. I tried my hardest not to cry. It wasn't easy. That guy was really scary. Mom begged me to smile. She promised we'd leave if I smiled. So I smiled and then we left. The second thing is I've mastered a new word. My new word is This. This is a good word. It's amazing, if I point at something and say This, ma-me will give it to me. If I hand ma-me a toy and say This, she'll take it and smile at me. The third thing is I do not like short noodles. Ma-me ordered Lo Mein tonight and I will only eat the long ones. If there is a short one in the bunch, I don't even want to see it. Don't even think about putting it on my tray. If you do, I'll dangle it over the edge of my tray and drop it on the floor - one by one. Until Ma-me catches me. Then I'll hide it in my drink hole. I'm like Auntie Holly when it comes to food on my tray. :) I miss you. I really wish I could fall asleep on your chest while you watch one of your boring TV shows tonight. I love you, Da-da.

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS...

1. A baby brother or sister. That way I'll leave da-da alone after a long day at work.
*
2. A new DVD player. To replace the broken one ma-me! bought last month for the airplane. You can add a few Wiggles DVD's, too, if you want.
*
3. A new cat. one that doesn't send mixed messages. One that likes pets. One that doesn't mind tail pulls. Or a dog. A small one that doesn't smell. One that doesn't need to go on walks.
*
4. A drum set. Incase the giant box beside the kitchen table with the drum picture on the front is not really a drum set.
*
5. A block of sharp cheddar cheese and Pirates Booty. YUM! I can't get enough.

I draw

Look what a good drawer I am. Yellow is my favorite color. I also like the color white, which makes da-da very happy when I'm walking around the house with a crayon in my hand. I like markers best.

I rock

Here I am rockin with da-da, who just so happened to be performing with Dave Mathews in concert early this morning. Guess what I'm asking Santa to bring me for Christmas - my very own drum set! If you happen to see Santa, please tell him the drum set is on sale at Big Lots for $20

And this is my ukulele that da-da brought all the way home from Hawaii. Check out my fuzzy Elmo slippers. I wear them every morning. Sometimes I even kiss them right on the nose. I also like to kiss Gah-Gah. I kiss everyone but ma-me! I even know how to blow kisses at pretty ladies.

Thanksgiving Morning

Here I am on Thanksgiving morning with Ma-me! Ma-me! is trying to take pictures of me in that stupid santa hat for a Christmas card, but I was too busy chasing seagulls and yelling Da-Da! at the top of my lungs to pose for a picture.

See that big wave behind me - it got my shoes and feet all wet, but I didn't mind because I ran right back for more. I love the beach. I really love the sand. The seagulls aren't bad either.

Here I am chasing a sea gull. Or was I running away from Ma-me? I can't remember.
